The ballet school
Oremek-Reeves
We offer children, teenagers and adults the opportunity to express their creativity through dance. Through our annual ballet performance in the Bad Homburg Kurtheater, my students are given the opportunity to slip into unexpected roles and try out new characters.
During our classes we work with music, rhythm and background knowledge to provide a balance against pressure, stress (school / work) or the small and big worries of life. Fun is the best motivator in my classes. Sorrows will be simply danced away.
The ballet school was founded on November 3rd in 1966, by professional dancer, ballet master, teacher and professional stage dance instructor Waltraud Oremek-Reeves and is now run by daughter Jasmin Reeves in the second generation of the family. Jasmin holds a master degree and a diploma in ballet and dance education.
Our ballet school is a cultural and educational part of the town of Bad Homburg for nearly 60 years now.
I am teaching the fourth generation of students and I am very proud of the warm, loving and informal atmosphere in my ballet school. Our annual ballet performances became a pre-Christmas family reunion and an integral part of the Advent season in the Hochtaunus district across all generations.
I hope you enjoy exploring our homepage and I am looking forward to welcoming you to my classes soon.

Professional training conditions
The classes in my Balletstudio in Bad Homburg, Ober Eschbach (Langwiesenweg 15a) take place on two floors and covering around 180 square meters. Two large ballet halls with permanently installed barrés at two heights provide sufficient space for professional training.
Naturally, both ballet halls have a professional sprung floor as well as a professional floor covering especially for ballet shoes, half pointe and pointe shoes.
A total of 15 meters of mirrors allows the children, teenagers and adults to assess and correct their performances by the teacher as well as themselves.
There are also two dressing rooms and two toilets.
A loving and detailed ambience motivates and supports my students during each class.
Historical information:
From 1966 to 1970, lessons took place in the parish hall of the Protestant Church “Zur Himmelspforte” in Ober Eschbach. The ballet school's first three performances were also presented to the public there during pre-Christmas season.
Since 1971, the ballet school has been located in its own premises at Langwiesenweg 15a in Ober Eschbach.
Our treasure trove
Every year since 1967, the Oremek-Reeves Ballet School has staged a ballet performance at the Bad Homburg Kurtheater during pre-Christmas Season.
Our collection of almost 170 square meters currently contains over 3000 costumes and costume accessories.
We have a long tradition of sewing and repairing our own costumes with loving attention to detail.
Fabrics are taken from stock or ordered to match each character and newly staged play to supplement, or alter costumes, or to equip entire groups with new costumes.
Old costumes are also lovingly restored by hand. Costumes from the years 1967 to 1979 are meticulously restored piece by piece and allowed to shine on stage again in some scenes. Our loyal former students are particularly pleased about this, as they happily recognize one or two of the costumes and reminisce.
